    For dissemination of a special policy paper on incorporating global education into pre-service teacher education. This paper will be based on an International Forum conducted at their 2001 annual meeting.
  2. $10,000 American Forum for Global Education, New York, NY
    To support a three-day national forum for global educators in Washington, DC in November 2001.
  3. $25,000 Brown University, Choices Program, Providence, RI
    For professional development and materials development related to the Capitol Forum and outreach efforts to expand this program to four new states in 2001-2002. More
  4. $16,000 Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO), Washington, DC
    To revise assessment items related to global education and offer them to states for testing. States who choose some items for testing students will report results back to CCSSO, which will collect and maintain data.
  5. $15,000 Indiana University International Resource Center, Bloomington, IN
    To transform a web site into an interactive professional development site where teachers will receive content about Indiana and the World while modeling demonstrated teaching strategies.

    For dissemination of materials from the 2001 workshop on human rights, peace education and conflict resolution, and the work of the United Nations and program development and preparation for the the 2002 workshop.

    For development of curriculum-specific Internet-based professional development courses and to disseminate this training through the organization's international education network. More

    In support of the second year of a two-year project. The grant will be used for printing of a new K-12 curriculum guide and ten follow-up workshops.
