Colorado2009Colorado continues to work toward the goal of internationalizing the state’s benchmarks as part of the Race to the Top conversation about standards and assessment. Tim Kubik has joined the Lt. Governor's working group on the topic. The international education team met in Denver in May to discuss plans for an "open house" event for September or October to expand outreach to business and community leaders. As part of that planning, the team is assessing the state’s standing relative to other states to make the best case to potential supporters.
