Afterschool for the Global Age - provides a rationale and ideas for including global knowledge and skills in out-of-school time programs.

 

All Over the World - this new global literacy curriculum is designed for upper elementary and middle school age youth in summer learning programs, but could be adapted for other contexts.

 

Expanding Horizons: Building Global Literacy Afterschool Programs - a new guidebook on strategies and resources on how to integrate global literacy—international knowledge, skills, and perspectives—into after-school and summer programs. 


Global Kids
- uses interactive and experiential methods to educate youth about critical international and foreign policy issues, this NYC-based program provides urban students with opportunities for civic and global engagement.  Through its professional development program, GK also provides educators with strategies for integrating a youth development approach and international issues into their classrooms. 


Global Graffitiwall for Afterschool
- global-themed games, puzzles, activities, and projects for students and teachers from the Center for Afterschool and Community Education at Foundations Inc. 


One World Now!
- a two-year after-school global-leadership program offered in the Seattle, WA area. It provides sophomores and juniors in high school the opportunity to develop leadership and world language skills (Mandarin Chinese and Arabic). 


World Savvy - a global education nonprofit, working to educate and engage youth in community and world affairs, to prepare them to learn, work and live as responsible global citizens.  In the Youth Media and Arts Program in New York and San Francisco youth use their own lives and communities as a platform to examine a global theme using visual arts, performance and media.
